Steady and firm. Comfortable and light.
GOODSPACE

HI, WE'RE
MARY & BRIDGET.
Both of us spent much of our professional careers working in corporate positions, but we found balance through teaching yoga beginning in 2017. We met in 2019 during our 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Milwaukee, WI, and formed an immediate friendship on the very first night. Genuine connection and vulnerability became the foundation of our relationship and the inspiration behind building this community.

Rooted in our shared passion for yoga, we also loved experiencing the world through travel and adventure. Whether it was packing up the car to explore the U.S., planning a trip to a national park, or venturing abroad, we discovered joy and growth in every journey. Together, we combined our backgrounds in business, yoga, and travel to offer truly unique, mindfulness-based adventures.

THE MEANING BEHIND "GOODSPACE"
Our Goodspace name is derived from Yoga Sutra 2.46: Sthira Sukham Asanam, which is a concept in yoga that explores steadiness and ease. Sthira can mean resolute, strong and courageous. It arises from the root stha, which means “to stand, to be firm.” Sukha can mean happy, easy and virtuous. The literal meaning of sukha is “good space,” from the root words su (good) and kha (space). The last word, asana, suggests the act of sitting down, inhabiting and being present.
A common translation for this sutra is “to resolutely abide in a good space.” On our retreats we will encourage you to be grounded in and committed to whatever you are doing, when you are doing it.

ABOUT MARY

Mary, ERYT-500, began practicing meditation and yoga in 2016, received her 200HR Vinyasa Yoga certification in 2017 and completed her 300HR certification in 2020. Mary guides students through practices that blend the wisdom of traditional movement with a playful, funky edge. Her teaching style weaves intention and storytelling, inviting each student to uncover their own unique narrative through the practice. Sequences are designed not only with a deep understanding of anatomy and alignment, but also with space for curiosity, creativity, and exploration. Each posture becomes a moment of discovery, an opportunity to honor both physical integrity and the subtle energies that move beyond what the eye can see. Through this approach, Mary encourages students to find clarity of mind, connection of spirit, and a personal story that unfolds with each breath.
