DHARMA | THE RHYTHM OF LIFE

In nature’s precision, nothing is separate or out of place; every movement belongs to a greater whole. Here, Rta — the natural order — is not an idea to understand, but a lived experience to feel. This retreat explores Dharma as attunement to natural law: the subtle intelligence that governs cycles and flow. The cycles of nature become a direct teacher: the rising and setting of light, the ebb and flow of energy through the day, and the natural rhythm of rest and activity.

Across the days of the retreat in the landscapes of Botswana, where vast skies, open plains, and slow-moving rivers shape perception, participants begin to notice how everything moves in cycles: breath, attention, emotion, energy, rest, and renewal. Encounters with wild animals deepen this understanding, offering living expressions of instinct, timing, and harmony within a larger ecological intelligence.

MUNGA PLAINS

Set within the vast wilderness of Botswana, Munga Plains is an intimate camp shaped by intention, and respect for the land it rests on. Every structure is designed to sit lightly on the earth with elevated living and communal spaces that open fully to the plains. Shaded lounges, a swimming pool, and open-air dining areas invite both gathering and stillness beneath the shifting African sky.

Accommodation consists of beautifully appointed en-suite glamping tents, each positioned on its own wooden deck with a private veranda looking out into the wild. Thoughtful comforts like king or twin bedding, fans, mosquito nets, and hot-water showers  are woven into the simplicity of the environment, while the sounds of the bush move through canvas at night.

Fly into Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) in Zimbabwe. You likely will have two connections leaving from the US. Allow for plenty of time to clear immigration and customs at each destination.  Please plan to arrive by 12 pm local time on May 1st. However, we heavily encourage guests to arrive at least one or two days in advance to begin acclimating to the time difference to get the most out of your retreat.

“Why Africa? Sure, we could have gone a safer and more expected route. But when we take risks and make bold moves, it empowers others to do the same. Let's go on safari.”

"International retreats are often very expensive, but they [Goodspace] created accessible payment schedules, with options to modify, if needed. Inclusion also extended into dietary considerations & name/pronoun intros. Communication ahead of time was clear & concise. If you're curious, hemming, or hawing, I would encourage you to go for it."

CARRIE S., WI

"To be given the gift of exploration, connection, and deep care feels like someone gently hugging your soul...Mary and Bridget have created something truly special. Not only is their business beautiful, but their friendship is just as inspiring—rooted in love, respect, and a genuine passion for what they share with others.
If you’re craving exploration, connection, and care… look no further than the gift of a Goodspace retreat."
